Villa Gita is a stunning three bedroom ocean-front villa in Candidasa, Bali with spectacular views of the Lombok Strait. This Candidasa villa blends traditional Balinese architecture with a contemporary style and comprises three self-contained bedroom suites with en suite bathrooms at ground-level. This luxury villa resort boasts a shimmering private infinity pool with an outdoor Jacuzzi with breathtaking ocean views from every room with a backdrop of the islands of Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Lombok.
The charming resort rests upon 900m2 of prime oceanfront property in Candidasa, Bali. It is literally just steps away from the ocean where a reef offers superb snorkeling. The villa is positioned about a hundred metres in from the main road, and is accessed via a private driveway protecting the calm serenity of the location. It has its own secure entrance with a parking area large enough for two vehicles. It is currently under the management of Kalyana Bay Villas, Manggis.
One of the best luxury resorts in its class in Bali, the villa is located on Jl.Raya Candidasa in the heart of the delightful seaside village of Candidasa. It is just over an hour´s drive from Bali International Airport when traffic conditions are good, 15 minutes from the ferry port at Padang Bai, half an hour from the Taman Safari Park, and about 40 minutes from Ubud.
Bedroom Suites
The contemporary-styled villa comprises three single-storey buildings at ground level. The architecture combines contemporary elements with traditional Balinese features. The villa, with open plan living/dining areas is characterized by an abundance of space and light, elegance and graceful simplicity. The master suite, Abhimanyu, located in the center of the villa and opens out to the living/dining area through an elegant walkway edged with lotus and melati ponds that are also home to sparkling goldfish. The suite to the right (facing the ocean) is the Arjuna Suite and to the left is the Draupadi Suite. The Arjuna and Draupadi suites have porticos that afford lovely views of the ocean and are ideal for a morning coffee or an evening cocktail.
All three bedroom suites are spacious, well-lit, fully air-conditioned, with king-sized beds. They are furnished with an armchair, elegant side tables, and table lamps. Each bedroom suite is equipped with flat-screen TV and DVD player. Wireless internet is available (at a charge) throughout the villa. The Master Suite Abhimanyu is also equipped with cable TV and comes with an additional desk and chair. All bedrooms have gleaming timber floors, and are equipped with safe deposit boxes. Rollaway beds are also available on request. There is a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are available on-site. All suites are tastefully furnished with subtle and elegant artwork.
Each suite has a dressing area with a walk in wardrobe with ample storage space and drawers. Sliding glass doors in each bedroom provide direct access to the living/dining area, which is positioned centrally between the three suites. All the en-suite bathrooms are fashioned in cream palimanan stone and beige marble with oversize terrazzo bathtubs and well-lit double vanity units complete with wall mirrors and twin washbasins. Toilets and raindrop showers are positioned in separate cubicles. Every bathroom has luxury toiletries from Spafactory and Sensatia.
Food and Beverages
At Villa Gita, guests are provided with a complimentary breakfast. The staff are trained to cook a variety of local and international dishes. Many Western meals are available, but we recommend you to try some of the local Balinese dishes for a unique cultural experience!
Dinner parties and small functions can all be catered within the villa for group of maximum 10 guests – please ask the chef or manager for more details, whether you are requesting breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks.

One of the best villa resorts in Bali, this villa is situated in the heart of the seaside village of Candidasa with access through a private driveway off the main road of Jl. Raya Candidasa. This beautiful area is set well away from the hustle and bustle of mainstream tourism in the island´s magnificent eastern regency of Karangasem. One of Candidasa’s best villa resorts, the ambience and serenity of this villa is unparalleled. Being centrally located, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance from the villa. Prestigious neighbours include two of the best resorts in Bali, Amankila and Alila Manggis.

Directions: From Ngurah Rai international airport, Denpasar, take the Ngurah Rai bypass highway towards Padangbai, Candi Dasa and Amlapura. Villa Gita is in the center of Candi Dasa just off the highway. After you enter Candi Dasa, you will pass restaurants and shops on both sides of the highway and you will see a large lotus pond on your right. Continue on the highway for 200 meters past the lotus pond and take the very first right turn off the highway after the lotus pond. You will see a road sign for Villa Gita at the turnoff. Immediately after taking the right turn, turn right again into a gate which has board saying “Orion Bay Villas”. Villa Gita is the villa directly in front of you. Tourist Attractions
This Candidasa villa is an excellent base to explore unspoiled and tranquil East Bali with its dramatic scenery, dozens of beaches and coral reefs, WWII shipwrecks for world-class diving and snorkeling, tropical forests, and beautiful rice terraces. Just a few km away from the villa is the village of Tenganan, a Bali Aga village (original inhabitants of Bali) and that is a veritable living museum. Visitors are welcomed during daylight hours, with many of the houses also functioning as shops and workshops where expert craftsmen and women perform their centuries’ old skills. Pantai Putih is a stunning white sand beach in a beautiful azure bay that is perfect for swimming about 10 minutes from the villa. The villa is also close to the three water palaces – Tirta Gangga, Jungutan and Ujung – built by Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut, the last Raja of Karangasem.
Family attractions in the area include the recently-opened Bali Safari & Marine Park, and the Odyssey Submarine Adventure, an ideal activity for those who would like to witness marine life under the ocean without having to scuba dive. The Bali Safari and Marine Park is about half-hour away from the villa and is supposedly the best Taman Safari park to date. A perfect day trip for children of all ages. Visitors can travel in safari buses across monkey-filled rain forests, a Bengal white tiger habitat and a savanna-like landscape dotted with hippopotamuses and lions. Guides are present to offer information about each animal, as well as the park’s conservation efforts.
The villa is also close to Bali’s highest and most sacred volcano – the towering Mt. Agung – home to Pura Besakih, the most important Hindu temple complex on Bali. Around 200 m east of the main bay near Padangbai, a complex of three temples sits on top of the hill, with a good view of the bay. The biggest is Pura Silayukti, where in the 11th century, Empu Kuturan, who introduced the three-temple system to Balinese villages, lived and meditated. At the back is the Pura Telaga Mas, and fifty metres to the south is Pura Tunjung Sari with its three-roofed meru and three smaller shrines. At the top of Gumang Hill, the view from the Pura Gumang temple over Candidasa beach is worth a visit with its great views, cool breezes and uninterrupted stillness.
Just a few kilometres away, Padangbai is a major harbour for ferries to Lombok as well as for smaller boats to Nusa Penida. It is a very picturesque village, with semi-circular hills surrounding a sparkling blue bay and sandy beach. Less than one hour to the northeast of Tirtagangga lies the enthralling coastline of Amed – a succession of black sand and pebble beaches stretching from the village of Amed to Selang, the easternmost tip of Bali. This coast offers spectacular ocean views and fantastic snorkeling or diving near Tulamben, famous for its WW II shipwrecks.
The fertile land and hilly villages around Tirtagangga offer an endless choice of walks, from one-hour walks in the rice fields to one-day treks into highland villages and forests. Hiking the four volcanoes is also an option. Hikers in good physical condition can try all 3142m of Mt. Agung – the steep descent is known to be the toughest part. Mt. Abang (2152m) is an enjoyable climb through thick forest with very few tourists. Mt. Batur (1717m) is much easier with great views of the volcano’s caldera but is crowded with visitors. An easy yet lovely ascent with dramatic views is the one to Pura Lempuyang on Mt. Seraya (1175m).
